The Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) in Exeter is one of the best museums in the country. It recently underwent a huge refurbishment project and is one of the jewels in Exeter’s crown.
Excite proposed a different type of video for the museum – something showing off the sights and the feel of the place, rather than simple pans and some talking heads.
How did Excite Help?
We arranged every aspect of this project, from the storyboard through to filming, editing, CGI and special effects. We designed and built our own hardware for this project, a robotic camera dolly which can follow a free path and capture timelapses as it goes – an innovative device, the likes of which, to the best of our knowledge, has never been built before or since.
The footage was shot largely in 4K and edited into a 1080P production.
